Replacing a roof at
the Pittsburgh Project
Groups spend their days helping with basic home repair needs.  We connect service and worship in obedient response to God's love for us.  We immerse groups in a cross-cultural setting, where participants are encouraged to build new relationships across generations, among people from other racial groups, and with those from other denominations.

a Gulf Coast Project
The Mississippi Gulf Coast continues to be in great need of volunteers to help repair homes ravaged by Hurricane Katrina.  This week-long project involves basic building skills which may be taught on site, as well as daily devotions, sharing chores and living together as a VPC family in Long Beach Presbyterian Church.  Various members of the church are anxious to tell their survival stories as we repair their homes.  During the week the group often goes to New Orleans for a tour of their devastation from two hurricanes and the breached levees flooding.
