New to VPC?

First Steps for the Journey at VPC

One of the great things about VPC is that it can be as big or as small as you make it.  It may feel intimidating at first, but follow these steps and you will find yourself getting connected in no time!  The opportunities listed below serve as the compass for finding your path on the spiritual journey at VPC.

Step 1: Let us know who you are

We want to help you become connected here at VPC.  Letting us know who you are and how we can help you is the fastest way to find your way around!  Two easy ways to do that are to fill out the Friendship Pad in worship on Sunday or to visit the Welcome Center in the Narthex.

Step 2: Connect Here

Visit our Connect Here table in the lobby on Sunday morning.  We can help you connect to a group where you can learn and serve with others at VPC!  We want to make it as easy as possible for you to begin to live into our mission statement “Becoming like Christ Together for the World.”

Step 3: Find out more, and even join VPC

Three times a year we offer New Member Lunches where you will hear from Pastor Pete James about why he thinks you should be a part of VPC—what makes VPC unique and special—and how you can be a part of something exciting.  If after this luncheon you decide you would like to join VPC, you may.  At that point you will sign up for our Invitation to the Journey Class or for one-on-one coaching to find your unique place in our church.

Upcoming New Member Luncheons:

  • September 27, 2015
  • January 31, 2016
  • May 22, 2016

Upcoming Invitation to the Journey classes (10:30-noon):

  • Fall 2015:  October 4, 18, 25
  • Winter 2016:  February 7, 21, 28
  • Spring 2016:  June 5, 12, 19
