The Rev. Dr. Peter G. James, Senior Pastor

Peter James has served at VPC since 1979. He received his Bachelor's degree in Religion from Ohio Wesleyan University, his Masters in Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Seminary and his Doctorate in Ministry from Union Seminary. He received the Robert J. Lamott Preaching Award as a seminary student. He is passionate about sharing Christ with others through preaching, discipleship, church planting, and missions work.

Ministry passions for Glenda are discipleship and spiritual formation. She enjoys leading others to experience the love of Christ more deeply, to learn to love him more and to learn to love others in his name. And she is excited about the Great Commission — to make disciples of all nations.

David was called to VPC in September of 2008 after serving for 11 years at Noroton Presbyterian Church in Darien, Connecticut, as Pastor for Caring Ministries. Prior to Noroton Presbyterian David served as an Associate Pastor in Mansfield, Ohio and as a University Chaplain at Fairfield University. His heart’s prayer is “to desire to desire you more, Jesus.”
The Rev. Dr. E. Stanley Ott, Teaching Pastor

E. Stanley Ott joined the pastoral staff at VPC in October 2006 as a part-time teaching pastor. He focuses on the particular ministry of leadership development, and conducts regular classes and training seminars designed to help our staff and lay leaders understand how to conduct effective ministry in the 21st century. He served many years as a senior pastor in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, where he developed the Vital Churches Institute, whereby he trains pastors and church leaders.

VPC's Session called Rev. Chris Hammond to serve as VPC's parish associate effective September 6, 2005. As a parish associate, he has general pastoral duties and supports the pastoral staff to fulfill worship, education and congregational care needs on a part-time basis.
The Rev. Dr. Edward T. Brogan, Chaplain, Colonel, USAF, Ret.
Visitations, Liturgist
Chaplain Ed Brogan is the Director of the Presbyterian Council for Chaplains and Military Personnel in Washington, DC. He is a clergy member of the National Capital Presbytery. He holds a BS degree from MIT, a Master of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from McCormick Theological Seminary.

The Rev. Eli Takesian is a former Associate Pastor of Vienna Presbyterian Church. Pastor Emeritus
The Rev. Dr. Dick Hutcheson was senior pastor at VPC from 1981 - 1984. He has authored a book on the history of VPC, entitled "Built by Faith, Called to Serve". The book may be purchased at the Grapevine Books bookstore.
