The Rev. Chris Hammond

VPC's Session called Rev. Chris Hammond to serve as VPC's parish associate effective September 6, 2005. As a parish associate, he has general pastoral duties and supports the pastoral staff to fulfill worship, education and congregational care needs on a part-time basis.
Chris was ordained by National Capital Presbytery in 1999 and served for four years as the associate pastor of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Huntsville, Alabama.
Chris holds an M.Div. from Princeton Theological Seminary, an M.A. in English from Emory University, and a B.A. in English from the University of California, Berkeley. Chris and his wife, Elizabeth, have two children, James and Claire.
