The Rev. Connie Jordan-Haas

- Rev. Connie Jordan-Haas
Parish Associate
The Rev. Connie Jordan-Haas became a Parish Associate at VPC in September 2010. As a Parish Associate, she comes alongside the pastoral staff to support them in the discipling and worship ministries of VPC. Leading a “Growing Your Soul” group, speaking to the PW or MOPS women, teaching elementary Sunday School, leading occasional seminars and assisting in worship are some of the primary ways Connie fulfills her ministry as one of VPC’s Parish Associates.
A graduate of Swarthmore College and Harvard Divinity School, Connie was ordained in her “home” church of First Presbyterian, Bethlehem, PA in 1987. She served the First Presbyterian Church of Ashland, Ohio as their Associate Pastor from 1988-1991. Connie then had a long tenure as one of the Associate Pastors of the Noroton Presbyterian Church (Darien, CT, a coastal town just north of NYC) for over 17 years. Her husband David’s call to VPC in the fall of 2008 relocated the family to northern VA. Though her primary work for this season is to parent their daughters, Julia (a high school student) and Mary Grace (an elementary school student), Connie also teaches in local Bible studies and recently completed an interim call within National Capital Presbytery. She loves many aspects of ministry and finds particular joy in teaching, worship leadership and pastoral care.
