Small Groups - Sharing the Journey

Small groups are communities in which we experience God and share our life in Him with others.  Small groups are for everyone, whether young or old -- someone exploring who God is or a more seasoned Saint.  They are a place where all people can come as they are to study God's word, to share their life, to care and be cared for, and to pray.

Our Triune God exists in a small group community -- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit -- and he has created us to be in community with Him and each other.  Jesus spent his three years of ministry living in a small group and modeling for us what it means to live in community with others.  We encourage everyone to invest in a life-changing small group and discover friends who may even journey with you for a lifetime.

When and Where...
Small groups meet primarily in homes, coffee shops, or restaurants and offer safe places where you can belong, ask questions, build relationships, study the Bible and more.  While we offer many kinds of groups to meet people where they are in life and faith, sermon-based groups are the most common type of group at VPC. They represent the rhythms and values of outreach-oriented, life-changing groups.

Since life is meant to be a shared journey of learning to follow Jesus, we invite everyone in the church to participate in a small group.  For more information, contact Shannon Jordan at 703-938-9050, x123, or email

“Growing Your Soul” is a nine month journey seeking further transformation into the image of Christ. Designed to deepen your communion with God, these groups are for people who are hungry for more of God and more of God’s purposes in their lives.
Sometimes life gets bumpy. At times like these, it can be beneficial to join with others to talk, pray and care for each other. With guidance, healing can begin.
Women in the VPC community meet the first week of each month (morning, afternoon or evening) for Bible study, fellowship, and service/mission opportunities. Women’s circles are always open to new members.
