Bridges & Gateways to Worship
Bridges to Worship
Families with children aged 4 years through 1st grade (through 2nd grade at 8:00 am), who prefer to begin the morning worshiping together, can head straight for the Sanctuary. After the children’s message, children leave for "Bridges to Worship" (8:00 am and 9:30 am only).
Bridges is based on a teaching method called Godly Play, where children enter the worship space, wonder together as they experience stories from the Bible and then engage in their own creative exploration of what they’ve heard.
Gateways to Worship
Families with children in 2nd through 4th grade, who prefer to begin the morning worshiping together, can head straight for the Sanctuary. After the children’s message, children leave for "Gateways to Worship" (9:30 am only).
Gateways is designed to enrich children's worship experience through an understanding of the church calendar, the elements of worship, the kinds of prayer, the Doxology, the Lord's Prayer, the use of music in worship, the Bible and it's origins etc.
After the children's message, children are met outside the sanctuary by the Gateways staff. They are picked up in room 321 at the end of the service.
Gateways is a unique program allowing two-hour children different worship and learning experiences at both hours.
