VPC Preschool
General Information
Vienna Presbyterian Church Preschool (VPCP) was founded in 1987 as a not-for-profit, early childhood program to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children ages 2 1/2 through 5. The preschool is a ministry of the Vienna Presbyterian Church. Since it's founding, VPCP has grown into a high-quality, developmental preschool serving 100 children a week and is served by a staff of 16, including six teachers, six teaching assistants, a music teacher and two administrative staff.
The preschool is characterized by small classes (no more than 13 students). Nurturing in small groups enables the staff to provide individual attention, fostering self-esteem and competence in every child. There are music classes and a chapel time offered weekly for each child in attendance.
Each class is led by a team consisting of a teacher with at least a four-year degree in Early Childhood Education (or related field) and an adult teaching assistant. Teachers and assistant teachers are trained in First Aid and CPR.
