Club 56

Don't miss the Club 56 Lock-In!  Read more...

What is the purpose of Club 56?  Perhaps the word "BEES" will help you understand and remember...

  • Bonding - developing a sense of community with other 5th/6th graders from many different schools
  • Enjoying - having loads of fun!
  • Encountering - meeting Jesus through teaching, through songs, and through the volunteers' words and actions
  • Serving - showing God's love to those around us through helpful actions and projects

Club 56 is an introductory youth group experience for these grades!  We meet during the school year, usually twice a month on Friday nights from 7:00-9:00 pm.  Our time consists of crazy games and contests, some singing, activities that help our children get to know each other, prayer time,  a talk/discussion, and food!

And if that isn’t enough, we also have events that are a little, well, unusual.  Right after Halloween, for example, we have a pumpkin bash in our lot, where kids can bring their own carved and used pumpkins, then choose one of several ways to destroy them (anything from bashing them piñata-style, to dropping them from above, to grilling them!).

Still not convinced?  We also have dog washes in our parking lot, where people bring their (child-friendly and bath-friendly) dogs and our group, under expert dog-handler supervision, washes, rinses and dries the dogs.  Donations are usually given to ministries that help people less fortunate than we are.

We also have an end of the school year water balloon blast, using 600-1000 water balloons.  How can you resist such saturation?  We hope you won’t!

In addition, we have service nights, Christmas caroling, an all-night LOCK-IN in the spring, and more.  We don’t meet during the summer, but start up again in early September.
