In-House Registration
Families of current students receive priority when registering for the coming school year. In general, this process ends near the third week in January. Please see the VPCP calendar for exact dates.
New Family Registration
New families are welcome to register after families of current students. The process for new families usually begins in late January. Please see the VPCP calendar for exact dates.
New families will be asked to call in to the main preschool telephone number. There you will hear a detailed message with the available openings for the coming school year.
New family registration officially begins at 9 am on the selected date. People line up as early as they choose based on the number of spaces available for their child’s age group. We distribute line numbers and registration forms promptly at 7 am. At 9 am, we begin calling line numbers. You may leave the premises and return with your line number, but please return on time. You must be present when we call your number or we will move on to the next family. In order to register, you need a completed registration form and a check for the $75 non-refundable registration fee.
NOTE: If Fairfax County Public Schools are closed or have a two-hour delay, registration will be postponed until the next business day that Fairfax County Public Schools open on time.
Waiting List
If we are full at the time of registration, you may elect to be placed on our waiting list. We often have significant movement after registration and many families on our waiting list will have a space by the time school starts in the Fall.
Where space exists or becomes available, we will continue to register new families throughout the Spring and Summer until the school is full.
