This Advent kickoff on November 27 and 28 was performed by a newly formed select women's chorus of singers, largely from our youth choir. The entire program was accompanied by renowned harpist, Holly Avesian.

Summer Baroque Recital (July 25, 2010)
Listen to works by JS Bach, Krebs, Telemann, Handel and Vivaldi, performed by featured artists Glenda Bates (former VPC Youth Orchestra member who will soon pursue a Doctorate of Music in Oboe Performance), Sean Larkin (violin), Terry Sisk (organ and harpsichord), Crista Alejandre (cello) and Danielle Talamantes (soprano). Brahms Requiem (Sun, Jun 14, 2010)
Listen to the Brahms Requiem concert performed by the VPC Sanctuary Choir and members of the Oratorio Society of Virginia. Unlike the traditional Latin requiem, this is sung in English and meant to offer comfort and solace for those grieving the loss of a loved one. View the concert program.

Haydn Concert Series: Ensemble Gaudior (Feb 21, 2009)
The VPC Music Ministries held the first of three concerts in a series featuring the music of Joseph Haydn performed by Ensemble Gaudior, a chamber ensemble featuring the talent of VPC member Alexandra McCracken.
US Army Chorus in Concert (Feb 6, 2009)
The concert was held in the VPC Sanctuary, in honor of our WWII veterans. The concert was conducted by the legendary Washingtonian conductor, Norman Scribner, and was held in coordination with Historic Vienna and the Freeman Store & Museum's ongoing World War II exhibit. View the concert program.

This service, lead by the Sanctuary Choir, soloists and others from VPC's missions projects, presented a message of peace.
