Youth Worship Ministries
VPC Youth Worship Ministries include the following groups:

Worship Teams
Do you play guitar, bass, drums, keyboards -- or ballet dance? Have we got a place for you!! Students not only regularly lead worship in our Sunday morning services in the sanctuary but also in our "Underground Worship" that is specific to Student Ministries. There is a constant need for these instruments as members of the worship teams rotate based on availability between services. Other opportunities for members of our worship teams include leading worship on Summer Mission Projects, retreats and outdoor community events around VPC. Youth Choir
The Youth Choir is a chorus for grades 7-12, which rehearses Sundays, 10:45 am - 12:15 pm. This chorus provides musical leadership at the 8:00 am service every Sunday. Basic musicianship skills, vocal development and choral techniques are a part of each rehearsal. The repertoire for this ensemble is chosen for its liturgical appropriateness for the worship environment and its ability to aide the young singers in their vocal/musical development. Youth Orchestra
The Youth Orchestra plays once a month for the 8:00 am worship service and at all three services on Youth Sunday. All instrumentalists from 7th-12th grades are eligible to join. Rehearsals are once a month, normally from 6:30–7:30 pm the Saturday before the orchestra is scheduled to play for the 8:00 am service. No audition is required. Celebration Handbells
The Celebration Handbells choir is for students of music in 7th through 12th grade. They meet in the sanctuary on Sundays from 3:30-4:30 pm, September through early June. Liturgical Dancers
Expressing our love for God through any and all artistic endeavors is a vital part of the youth ministries at VPC. In addition to our music programs, several of our youth are active in the dance community of northern Virginia and joyfully share their talents with us in worship on a monthly basis.
