Volunteer

It takes a large team to make this ministry happen; would you consider joining it?  We are always looking for caring men and women who want to help mentor and disciple our students, or help behind the scenes.  If you have a heart for youth and enjoy sharing what it means to follow Christ, this could be the place for you!  No experience is necessary as we’ll be happy to train you.

Volunteer Opportunities

  • Small group co-leader for our middle and high school Underground PM program.
This is where we have the most need for volunteers, as it takes many caring adults to disciple our students.  Do you have a heart for helping youth learn about follow Christ?  Being a small group leader involves being present for the youth group time, planning a bible study discussion with curriculum that we give you, and mentoring 6-12 students.  (Groups are same gender.)  Our students are delightful, and it’s easy to love getting to know them.  Make a difference in a teen’s life, and see the difference it makes in yours!  Contact Kim Snyder at kim.snyder(at)viennapres.org and Thea Jeschke at thea.jeschke(at)viennapres.org if you are considering volunteering in this capacity.  They’d love to meet with you and give you more info!
  • Sunday morning volunteer at Underground AM
This involves being present from 9:15-10:30am to welcome our students, get to know them, and helping the staff with whatever is necessary for the program that day.  If you are a welcoming adult who cares about teens, this could be a great fit for you!  Also, though it is not necessary to teach or help with music in order to volunteer in this role, if you have skills in those areas we would love to talk to you about using them at AM.  Contact Kim Snyder at kim.snyder(at)viennapres.org and Thea Jeschke at thea.jeschke(at)viennapres.org if you are considering volunteering in this capacity.  They’d love to meet with you and give you more info!
  • Special needs Sunday school teacher
Our “Friendship” teen class is a great way to serve if you have a heart for special needs.  Contact Kim Snyder at kim.snyder(at)viennapres.org if you are interested in volunteering in this capacity.  She’d love to meet with you and give you more info!  If you do not have much experience teaching special needs, that’s ok.  You can learn by assisting the other teachers.
  • Help coordinate or be a leader on a Summer Missions Project
For more info contact Sue Hamblen at sue.hamblen(at)viennapres.org.  She’d love to meet with you to tell you all about this opportunity!
  • Organize the Media Center
Do you like to organize?  Do you like books and other forms of Media?  We are looking for someone to serve for a couple hours a month, managing the materials students check out and return, running computer updates, and keeping the room tidy.  Contact Kim Snyder at kim.snyder(at)viennapres.org if you can help.
  • Sunday Morning Breakfast Set Up
This is a small yet much appreciated job.  It involves setting up our Sunday continental breakfast from about 8:45-9:00 am, and cleaning it up at 9:30.  Contact Jeannie Morris at jeannie.morris(at)viennapres.org to sign up for being a part of our monthly volunteer rotation.
  • Event set up and clean up
We are always looking for volunteers to help with our upcoming events.  Contact Kim Snyder at kim.snyder(at)viennapres.org and Thea Jeschke at thea.jeschke(at)viennapres.org if you can help in this way.
