If your loved one(s) suffers from mental health challenges, we invite you to come to a warm, supportive, weekly gathering in Christian community. We open and close with prayer; discuss a passage from Scripture; talk about a dedicated topic each week; and support and encourage one another as we share the ‘common denominator’ of having a family member or close friend whose mental health condition impacts our lives, as well.
Coming topics will include:
*What is Mental Illness?
*Is “Mental Illness” a Helpful Label?
*What Are the Different Kinds of Mental Illness?
*How is Mental Illness Different from Ordinary Sadness, Anxiety, and Confusion?
*How Does Mental Illness Affect the Sufferer?
*How Does Mental Illness Affect Spiritual Life?
*How Does Mental Illness Affect Those Around the Sufferer?
You are welcome to join at any time in the series. Monday evenings, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Facilitated by Pastor Connie and Romey McPherson (Stephen Minister, Elder, and retired therapist)
