Maddie Schmidt

Director of Children's Ministry

As an educator, Maddie is bringing her knowledge and expertise to serve our children and families as the Director of Children’s Ministry. She grew up at VPC and has volunteered with Children’s, Youth, and Music ministries.

She attended Christopher Newport University where she studied psychology, leadership, and elementary education. After eight years teaching elementary school in FCPS, she is excited to help others get to know Jesus and grow in their faith. When not at church, Maddie can often be found baking or taking walks with her husband, Andrew, their two boys, and their dog to watch the trains.
