Rachel Burns is VPC’s Administrative Assistant for Missions & Outreach. She helps keep the ministry running smoothly by supporting local and global mission efforts through communication, organization, and behind-the-scenes coordination. From planning events and supporting volunteers to assisting ministry partners and handling day-to-day details, Rachel enjoys using her administrative gifts to help the Missions & Outreach team serve both the church and the community.

Rachel earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Elon University and a master’s degree in Reading from George Mason University. She taught first and second grade for many years before staying home with her three children, Lizzie, William, and Margaret. Rachel and her family have attended VPC since 2021 and live in Vienna. Outside of church, she enjoys playing tennis and mahjong, and taking walks with her dog, Scout.
